Polish Army cap badge depicting an eagle with outstretched wings clutching an amazon shield. The head is topped with a closed crown. 19191939.

Very good condition with an intact crown cross. Maker marked on the reverse with the original maker mark with an anchor of H. Skarnik & F. Fiszbein, Warsaw, and letters B.M. which stand for 'biały metal' (English: white metal). Original aluminum screw back with an original anchor maker mark of H. Skarnik & F. Fiszbein. Screw back turned inside out on the threaded post.

Wz.19 eagles were commonly used by the Polish Army during the 1939 Defensive War, also known as the September campaign when German and Soviet forces invaded Poland.
