T. Balbus' book presents in pictures the history of the 3rd Home Army Brigade (Polish: 3. Brygada Armii Krajowej) - a partisan unit, in 1943-44 active in Vilnius District, fighting against Lithuanian and German units, both police and military. After the demobilization, some soldiers of the unit continued the fight against the Soviet invaders already in the territories of post-Yalta Poland in the ranks of the 5th Home Army Brigade and the 3rd Brigade of the National Military Union (Polish: Narodowe Zjednoczenie Wojskowe).
