The German version of Jewish Star. Holocaust-related patch with six corners, painted in black on the yellow cloth, inscribed with the word “Jude” (English: Jew) in the middle.
It is well used, reinforced on the back with the black cloth patch and sewn-on safety pin to use on different garments.
Used condition stars are scarce and highly sought after by museums and collectors alike.
From 1941 to 1945, all Jews in Germany were required to wear a Jewish star in public. The star had to be sewn firmly and visibly on the left side of the clothing at the height of the chest.
