Wehrpass issued to Ernst Kreienbring in Berlin, in 1943.
From September 1943 until March 1944, E. Kreienbbring served with Stellungsbau-Pionier-Bataillon 725, a construction unit active on the Eastern front in central Russia.
Transferred in March 1944 to Baupionier-Ersatz- und Ausbildungs-Bataillon 3 in Crossen an der Oder (now Krosno Odrzańskie, Poland).
In June 1944, he was transferred again to the Transport-Begleit-Kompanie in Töpchin, just south of Berlin, where he served for three months.
Lastly, in September 1944, he started his service in SS-Totenkopf-Wachbataillon Sachsenhausen, the notorious K.L. Sachsenhausen guards unit, where he served the rest of the war.
The post-war fate of this individual is yet unknown, but it has excellent potential for additional research.
Wehrpass is complete, with an ID photo of the owner in a civilian suit, wearing a patriotic pin with a swastika.
The document shows minor signs of use and wear, and the cover page is perforated for storage (probably by Soviet security agents).
