Wehrstammbuch and a Gesundheitsbuch (G-Buch) of a Robert Schmid, enlisted on January 27, 1944 at Stammkomp./Gren.Ers.Btl.179 in Traunstein, Upper Bavaria.
From January until June 1944, R. Schmid served with several replacement units. On June 25, 1944, he was transferred to the SS. T. Stuba K.L. Mauthausen and became a member of the Mauthausen concentration camp SS garrison. After the service in the Mauthausen concentration camp, he was transferred back to a Landesschützen-Ersatz-Bataillon 17 (from which he was transferred earlier to an SS. T. Stuba K.L. Mauthausen). Wehrstammbuch entries end with the last transfer to the Festungs-Infanterie-Bataillon 1437 in East Prussia on September 9, 1944.
The post-war fate of this individual remains unknown, but it holds excellent potential for further research.
A set of documents for one person, including a Wehrstammbuch (Military record book), G-Buch (Health record book), a period portrait photo with a patriotic HJ pin, a chest X-ray, a cardiogram, and others.
One of the documents appears to have been added to the lot by mistake, bearing the name Josef Traxl.
The documents show signs of use and wear.
