First type Wehrpass issued to Unteroffizier Louis Holland-Moritz, enlisted on August 27, 1939.
From August 1939 to August 1944, L. Holland-Mortiz served with several Luftwaffe units in Germany. On August 4, 1944, he was transferred to Fliegerhorstkompanie Nordhausen, the location of the V2 rocket production facility and the concentration camp KZ Dora-Mittelbau, and on September 1, 1944, assigned to 4. SS-T-Stuba Mittelbau, where he served until December 31, 1944.
Active engagements and operations listed in the Wehrpass include:
Breakthrough on the border near Lingen, south of Lörrach.
Advance through Liège, Belgium, and Northern France.
March across the Weser.
Crossing the Aisne (a river in France) and pursuing battles towards Southern France.
Operation in occupied Western France.
Luftwaffe operation against England.
Awarded Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Combatants (German: Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer).
The post-war fate of this individual remains unknown, but it holds excellent potential for further research.
Wehrpass is complete, with an ID photo of the owner in a civilian suit.
The document shows signs of use and wear, reinforced with tape.
The cover page is perforated for storage (probably by Soviet security agents).
