Polish Army cap badge depicting an eagle with outstretched wings clutching an amazon shield. The head is topped with a closed crown. 1919–1939.
Very good condition with an intact crown cross. For an unknown reason, the U.S. flag (drawn on paper) is placed (most probably glued) on the amazon shield on the lower part of the badge and lacquered.
Wz.19 eagles were commonly used by the Polish Army during the 1939 Defensive War, also known as the September campaign when German and Soviet forces invaded Poland.
